Really looking forward to my troops arriving. I have loved pretty much everything you’ve done so far. I converted one of my friends to TGG models last night. I can’t wait for the game! I know that as soon as we start playing the rest of my gaming group will start buying TGG, they just need the game as an excuse to get started. Any idea when the kickstarter for the game might begin?

For the SCENERY Kickstarter. Are you still considering doing 12″×12″ modular Zone Mortalis style pieces? If you’re not familiar ZM is a format of 40k that focuses on indoor close quarter fighting and uses 12×12″ tiles you can re-arrange like a jigsaw puzzle to give different layouts. It’s a very popular format, but there is very little support for it and almost no third party support for it either. It would be a great way to guarantee pledges and generate high interest in the 40k community.

Will these models be available for purchase by the public once you’re done with the shipping of the pledges? I would’ve totally pledged to your Kickstarter but I had not found out about it until it was too late :c

While both new projects are exciting (for both us, your customers and yourselves as a stuido, I’m sure), I personally can’t wait for the terrain kickstarter. While most of us have come to love your models through other, existing game systems, there is a serious lack of quality, large scale moulded terrain kits. There are even fewer that posses a range large enough to populate a board without seeming “copy pasted” and while maintaining a uniform style and feel. I do not mean to diminish the excitement surrounding the release of your own game system (a monumental achievement for any studio), but such a product will be releasing into a market full of smaller systems competing against a handful of juggernauts; all vying for attention and the limited hobby dollars of a niche audience. Meanwhile a terrain release, just like your BRILLIANT models, can be used universally with any existing system or even collectors who are mostly interested in modelling and painting over actual war gaming. If you can pull off the scale that you’ve teased coupled with the quality of your previous work, you will be releasing a unique and unparalleled product into a market that has been starved for large, intact and detailed gothic structures for decades. ( I say that the product would be unique in the market with some degree of confidence as if something like it had already existed, I would have already purchased the entire range twice over by now).

@Someone in the dark: The Pledge Manager will close at the end of February 8, but because there are people around the world, I’ll probably leave it open for the beginning of February 9.

I’ve only played around with making my own molds, but even from that experience I can tell that is some intricate moldmaking. Let’s hear it for the engineers!

@Megan Schmidt: Yes you can. Hurry over to the Pledge Manager and click on Extra Shipments (or Additional Shipments). Then you can pick the type of extra shipment you want. Purchase that extra shipment, and you’re good to go.

Awesome to hear that the minis are well on their way. I had asked a question on the pledge manager about possibly shipping the smaller mini’s ahead of the monsters (avatar/pegasus). Is that still possible?

@Justin Christensen: Good question: the reason is that the Angel wings run in the same mould as the Angels to make sure that figures are complete when they are sent to us, whereas the standalone Angel wings designed to fit the Icariates, while they are the same, are in a separate mould which will be spun later.

Very exciting, can’t wait for my Sisters to ship!
Any word on the Angel wings for Incariates? On the spreadsheet they’re still listed as ‘Ready to Cast’, but the Angels are ‘In Stock’ (which doesn’t really make sense as they seem to be the same wings). Looks like those wings may be the only thing holding up my shipment, not a big deal though as I’m still painting my way through the Daughters of the Crucible, just curious.
