Yoko the Psycho, Pyromaniac (JB)

Had my eyes on her for a while ! fantastic model

Great piece, added to my guard force

Compared to the issues I had with their midsized models before, this one was nice and easy to cleanup and assemble. The key is to have a good precise super glue and activator spray, so you can set the parts quickly (after a dry test to make sure they are where they need to be)

If anything, Yoko looks even better in the resin than in the photo here; As a set of components she looks a fairly awkward sculpt, but once assembled (reader, a careful 'dry run' and some preparatory pinning is advised) And viewed in three dimensions, there's a real sense of movement and (im)balance to the finished mini; Of mass, action and reaction as a lanky girl swings around a heavy piece of (dangerous!) Hardware. The casting itself was crisp and clean, with the only major work necessary being some filling on the back-pack fuel cannister. One thing worth noting is that Yoko is fairly tall compared to the other girls (and other manufacturer's mini's) - A shade over 35mm, if she was standing straight, although her pose does make this less obvious. My Yoko is currently showing assorted 'Mad max' wannabes that petrochemicals are good for much more than fuel; And the mini seems like it would be most at home in post-apocalyptic or survival-horror backgrounds, rather than in most peoples military. Although, while it's difficult to see her fitting into any regular force, irregulars, rebels, and guerillas of all kinds might be interested in her services. Mind, it's probably more a case of having her where they can keep an eye on her than anything else. . .
