Thank you for all the feedback on Skaryaa, our new heroine! See more images here.
She is now available for pre-order.
First, sorry about the typo in the word "heroine". You may not know this, but English is not our mother tongue, so sometimes, this kind of error happens… Then again, doesn't she look like she could be your new drug?
So, we listened and tried to implement as many of your suggestions as possible. And here are the results:
As some of you noticed, she is a bit overdressed to make a proper Blood Vestal. We are well aware of this, but do not fear, we will also release another character to make sure all your bases are covered: a less armored heroine who will make a great Blood Vestal Leader or a Sorceress, depending on her accessories.
(Actually, you can see the mounted version of the Sorceress on a Pegasus here. And we also need your feedback on this mini before we send it to production.)
Also, many of you asked for a spear or a two-handed sword option. We are evaluating the possibility of a third character with these options.
In fact, it would make sense that we create units of spear-wielding warriors, but there are many parameters to consider before we can do so, including the fact that we want to make sure we release minis for various races, etc.
Finally, rest assured that all these fantasy characters will also be released in SciFi versions too!
Going back to Skaryaa herself, among the several changes since the last WIP, you'll notice that we moved the hairline and touched up the jaw; it's subtle but it makes her look more elegant. We also made her right-handed.
Skaryaa can be equipped in 3 different ways, with all the bits in the box: two swords, one sword, one sword and a shield.
She will be just a tad bigger than the regular Blood Vestals so as to stand out as a hero.
One last thing regarding the chainmail, or the size of the swords: you have to remember that the images we show you are often way bigger than most other companies, and in a way, this can be misleading… Just scale down the image above on your screen and you'll realize that the chain mail rings or the sword blades are just the right size when the mini is 30mm high. Or, alternatively, enlarge a picture of any Games Workshop mini for example, and you'll realize that the chainmails, scale mail armors or weapons look really disproportionate. That is what is needed to make the minis work at the 30mm scale.
Comments will be approved before showing up.
